Batman [Batman Ninja]

Batman Ninja (ニンジャバットマン Ninja Battoman) is a 2018 Japanese animated Science fiction period martial arts superhero film directed by Junpei Mizusaki and produced by Warner Bros., which features the DC Comics character Batman. Takashi Okazaki, the creator of Afro Samurai, is the character designer for the film.

I had been wanting to do Batman cosplay for a while, but I could never decide on  which version to base my design from. Then, late 2017 we got a trailer for Batman Ninja, and I knew that’s what I had to do! I spend a couple of months working on this, getting it ready for Capital Sci-Fi Con 2018. I had made several sets of cardboard samurai armour for a youth club a couple of years before this so I felt confident in making a foam armour for myself. The suit required over 60 meters of gold thread to be woven in between the armor plates, but the end result came out rather well. I had finished the costume before the movie was even released, and I believe I am the very first person to cosplay this incarnation of Batman.
